About Yellowstone
Yellowstone National Park was created March 1, 1872 by President Ulysses S. Grant “for the benefit and enjoyment of the people”. The park is over 2 million acres, and is mostly in Wyoming but spreads into parts of Montana and Idaho too. It was the world’s first national park.. Yellowstone features dramatic canyons, alpine rivers, lush forests, hot springs and gushing geysers, including its most famous, Old Faithful. It's also home to hundreds of animal species, including bears, wolves, bison, elk and antelope.
