Franschhoek, which is 59 miles from Cape Town, was the last place I visited in South Africa. I spent three days touring in and around Franschhoek, guided by Robyn Kadis of Franschhoek Adventures (https://www.franschhoek-adventures.co.za). On the first day Robyn and I rode bikes in the wine country, landing at the La Bri Winery for a tasting of their fine wines. On the second day Robyn and I hiked in the Mt. Rochelle Nature Reserve. On the morning of third day, Robyn and I went bird watching and visited the La Mott Wine Estate. In the afternoon, I wandered Franschhoek on my own, visiting the Huguenot Memorial Monument and the Perfume Museum.
